Our association “die Schwarzwalduhr” gathers the manufacturers, the dealers and the supporters of the original Black Forest Clock or in common also called Cuckoo Clock and stands for the home of the Cuckoo Clock. The cuckoo clock is a regional product and originated in the central Black Forest around the communities of Schonach, Schönwald and Triberg. From a traditional product, the winter work of poor Black Forest farmers became cult: the cuckoo clock has been putting smiles on peoples faces around the world for generations.

The VdS-Certificate proves origin and authenticity of an original black forest cuckoo clock The cuckoo clock is regional product originating in the black forest with an interesting story that goes back about 200 years. Our cuckoo clocks are hand made by specialist woodworkers in the black forest. Manufacturers and suppliers are all local, most of them in walking distance in the Schonach area so there is a sympathetic cooperation between suppliers and manufacturers all in the sprit of the cuckoo clock.
